C-Murder Conviction Overturned By Louisiana Supreme Court

As someone who never changes his mind for nobody, talking to C last year really did make me understand that he could be innocent, or at least that his case was fucked up enough to need a retrial. If you're a fan of his music its easy to hope C gets out the pen, but now the Louisiana court agrees that justice was not served. May the killer of Steve Thomas find a lifetime bid, and fuck a judge who convicts a rapper based on his lyrics.

i ws reppin for that trina song because i was so starved of some good strong female rap but i spoke too soon because
*first off i heard some lame neptunes song from 'the glamorest life' (ok the beat is a bouncy interpolation of george michael - 'i want your sex' which is better than it sounds but pharrell is caterwauling all over it and the rhymes are still boring except for something about a dick being popped out of a socket) and im mad at trina again!
*secondly i just heard this mac bre-z song on only the crunk survive 10. i love the way she puts maceo in his place here! and i love maceo for being on this song w his yoda voice

trina ft lil wayne - dont trip

i know its been out a minute now but you know how disappointed i was with trina from the last few wack behind the times indian or dancehall fad mixtape songs, shitty flat electro unofficial singles and boring guest verses. so i took my time getting around listening to this one but now im really glad shes back! its not that amazing or anything, its just a normal high quality cash money sounding club song. however trina has remembered that she has a personality and is sounding way more assertive on here than she has for a long time. "im sharp as a machete / and i cuss like crazy / niggas call me betty crocker / cuz my cakes stay plenty / got stacks on top of stacks / im coppin a meal ticket / no matter the consequence/my emphasis is to get it"
waynes verse is nice but i miss when she used to marginalise talented men on her songs relegating them to the hook (like fabolous on 'how we do'), this is an even handed duet. i love when trina takes on her daughter of a madam motherly/oompa loompa teacherly tone tho (remember 'hustling'!) and its all here, tipping those less astute girls on how to be independent!
